Medable has been named to the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was just announced and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.
America’s Best Startup Employers were selected based on evaluating employer excellence in three ways:
- Employee Satisfaction: extensive research was conducted on ‘Average Length of Employment’ and 'Online Employer Reviews.'
- Employer Reputation: company specific information was algorithmically extracted from social media channels such as news sites, micro-blogs, blogs and social networks.
- Company Growth: comprehensive evaluations of 'Website Traffic,' 'Headcount Growth Rates,' and 'Industry-Referenced Job Openings.'
To be considered for the ranking, employers need to have a headquarters in the U.S., and be founded between 2012 and 2019. The final list recognizes the top 500 companies based on over 8 million data points.
“From attracting, to winning, and accelerating exceptional talent, Medable is known for its culture of innovation and excellence,” said Medable’s Chief People Officer MJ Vigil. “We are incredibly proud to have been awarded Best Startup Employer by Forbes. Medable people are inclusive and authentic. Our teams are rooted in trust and honor individual strengths to power our mission to get effective therapies to patients faster.”
This award comes at a time of significant growth at Medable – including 6X employee growth, from 100 employees in early 2020 to more than 600 this year. The company brought in a new capital infusion of $304 million in Series D funding last October — its fourth round since 2020 — to reach a valuation of $2.1 billion. There are currently more than 90 open roles at the company – all fully remote.
Medable was founded by CEO Michelle Longmire, MD, who wanted to solve the problem of limited participant awareness and access to clinical trials, based on her own clinical research experience. Medable’s platform has revolutionized how life-saving clinical trials are conducted, allowing people from all walks of life to participate remotely in decentralized and hybrid clinical trials.
